Lesson Package Refund Policy

TERMINOLOGY

LESSON PACKAGE”: bundle of tutoring sessions purchased by the client for the student. Each package includes a specified number of lessons, which may also include a certain number of complimentary (free) lessons.

“CLIENT”: the individual or entity purchasing the lesson package, typically a parent or guardian on behalf of the student.

“STUDENT”: Refers to the individual who will be receiving tutoring services as part of the lesson package.

“FREE LESSONS”: Refers to complimentary lessons included in the package that are not charged and therefore not eligible for refund or transfer.

“REMAINING LESSONS”: Refers to the unused lessons in the package, excluding any free lessons.

“PAYMENT LEVEL”: Refers to the pricing tier or category associated with the purchased lesson package typically segregated by year group* , eg. IB Grade 12
*Note: Excluding IELTS, all subjects follow this format. IELTS classes are paid according to the hourly rate of the tutor themselves

“TRANSFER”: Refers to the reassignment of remaining lessons or paid amounts to another student, service, or purpose as outlined in these terms.

“ADMINISTRATIVE FEE”: Refers to a fixed percentage of the paid amount deducted to cover processing costs for refunds.

“MISSED LESSONS”: Refers to lessons that have been cancelled on a less than 24 hour notice, unless the student has fallen ill or has faced a serious injury due to which they cannot attend the lesson..

GENERAL TERMS

ALL REFUND OR TRANSFER REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING (EMAIL, MESSAGES, WORD DOCUMENT) AND INCLUDE PROOF OF PURCHASE AND ANY RELEVANT SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION.

REFUNDS WILL BE PROCESSED WITHIN 14 BUSINESS DAYS OF APPROVAL OF THE

REFUND REQUEST.

IMP EDUCATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REVIEW EACH REQUEST ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT THE DISCRETION OF IMP EDUCATION. CLIENTS WILL BE NOTIFIED OF ANY CHANGES IN ADVANCE.

LESSONS CANCELLED WITH LESS THAN A 24 HOUR NOTICE WILL BE CONSIDERED “MISSED LESSONS” THAT ARE PAYABLE IN CONSIDERATION OF TUTORS’ PREPARATION AND TIME.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OUTLINED BELOW ARE DIVIDED BY A PERIOD OF 7 DAYS FOLLOWING A PURCHASE.

By purchasing a lesson package, the client acknowledges and agrees to all terms and conditions outlined.

WITHIN SEVEN DAYS OF PURCHASE

1. FULL REFUND:

If the refund request is initiated within 7 days of the lesson package purchase and no lessons have been conducted, the client is eligible for a full refund of the paid amount. The request must be made in writing via email or any officially recognized communication channel.

2. PARTIAL REFUND:

If lessons have been conducted during the 7-day period, the cost of these lessons will be deducted at their full rate from the total package amount. The remaining balance, excluding any free lessons included in the package, will be refunded to the client.

AFTER SEVEN DAYS OF PURCHASE

1. REFUND REQUESTS:

Refund requests initiated after 7 days from the purchase date are eligible for a refund of 50% of the value of the remaining lessons. The calculation will exclude any free lessons initially included in the package. This refund is only applicable to unused lessons.

2. TRANSFER OF REMAINING LESSONS:

Clients who choose not to request a refund may transfer the remaining lessons (excluding free lessons) to another student at the same payment level. Requests for transfers must be made in writing and are subject to approval by IMP Education.

3. TRANSFER OF PAID AMOUNT TO OTHER SERVICES:

The monetary value of the remaining lessons, excluding free lessons, can be transferred to other services offered by IMP Education or its affiliated institutions. These services include but are not limited to:

● Internships
● University application assistance
● Workshops
● Networking events
● Other relevant educational services

The client must submit a written request specifying the service they wish to transfer the paid amount to.

4. GRADE 12 GRADUATION:

If the refund request is initiated because the student has graduated from grade 12 and has unused lessons remaining, a 10% administrative fee will be deducted from the total paid amount. The remaining balance will then be refunded to the client.

This request must be submitted within a reasonable timeframe after graduation and with supporting documentation.
